Life Journey

My life journey is a tale of extreme highs to unbelievable lows.

It is these incredible experiences that I harness lifes lessons to help you achieve your goals.

I have been fortunate to see how my previous training developed through Back To Work Training was transformed into the international documentary by SBS called “The Unemployables”. This was aired in 2005 and then re-aired in 2015 after the controversial “Struggle Street.”

My documentary has inspired other people to produce my training into a number of other successful programs and resources in both Media, Training, Welfare to Work by Jobactive Providers, Tafe and Correctional facilities throughout Australia.

A number of leading Jobactive Providers have had great success in delivering “Back To Work Training”. They have been quoted in achieving up to 60% job placement and sustained over 3 month period.

Imagine the ultimate success of 100% being placed through training, well I am pleased to tell you that when I have delivered my motivational and job readiness programs and we have achieved 100% in sustainable employment.

“I can hear you saying right now…..I have heard it all before.”

My achievements speak for themselves in achieving the impossible;

2014: Nominated Australian of the year

Assisting over 10,000 Australians in to work.

2012: Pride Medal of Australia finalist for Community SpiritNominated Australian of the year

Pride medal of Australia recognises an individual who’s selfless, tireless and largely unacknowledged actions have enriched the lives of those around them in the community.

The nomination of Australian of the year was for establishing the Charity -Connected Disaster & Hardship Recovery for the Queensland floods helping over 22,000 Australians.

We built this charity from ground up with no cash, amazing volunteers and just a passion for helping others with a voice that I used to bring together and establish a major network.

This may sound a lot, and to be honest, it was as I was also crippled living on a disability pension at the time.

2008: Nominated Australian of the year

Developed motivational and job readiness programs to help people build pathways to employment from welfare.

A special message of thanks to Kevin Young and Club Cares who paid $100,000 so that I could have the life changing surgery to walk again. I no longer am in pain or on medication.

“Thank you Kevin & Team without you this would not be possible.”
